HUNDREDS of people enjoyed the September 2019 Sheet Film Festival, in the village hall and the Queen’s Head pub, when the 1950s era returned.

Films and photos were on the theme of ‘My Summer Holidays,’ and music on the night was by the Portsmouth Batala Drummers, and young musicians from South Hampshire’s Ready to Rock School delighted the audience.

Before the open-air sing-along screening of the iconic film musical Grease there were dance and drum workshops, and of course hamburgers, candy floss, and homemade brownies.

When darkness descended and the film began, the singing could probably be heard in Petersfield; it appeared no one had forgotten a single word.
