ONE OF the delights of an English summer must be the sight of tables laden with delicious home-grown fruit and vegetables at horticultural shows around East Hampshire.

The Harting Horticultural Society’s annual show is not to be missed, with its abundant and award-winning produce in the marquee on the War Memorial Playing Fields, South Harting, on August 15, from 2.30pm to 4pm.

There will be the usual flowers, vegetables and fruit on display, to be judged, along with homemade crafts and cookery, and photographs.

Children of all ages have their own classes to enter too.

The teas are always a winner with the hordes who go along to the show each summer, and ice creams will be available.

There is no charge this year to try out the sideshows so it is affordable fun for all the family. Craft tables are available to book.
