FOR ANYONE interested in the mental and practical processes an artist goes through when creating a work, there’s a chance to visit a studio at Hawkley.

Although Tim Mullins has exhibited in London, Bristol, Guildford and Chichester and has paintings in private collections in Europe and America as well as in Britain, he still thinks it is important for people to be able to talk directly to artists in an informal setting and to be able to discuss their style, ideas and the techniques they use over a cup of coffee.

Tim is looking forward to people viewing more than 50 new paintings in acrylic and mixed media in his contemporary impressionist style.

He added: “I really enjoy discussing my work and getting feedback from visitors.”

The exhibition, at Lower Green, Hawkley, from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday November 17 and 18, is also supporting a charity educating Syrian refugee children in the Lebanon.

The school in Amioun, a town about 34 miles north-east of Beirut is aiming to give children who have experienced war, famine and a lack of medical supplies and facilities a better start in life. Mike Tomlinson, who runs the school with his wife, was brought up in Hawkley and his parents still live there.
