DRINKERS are being urged by Hampshire County Council (HCC) health chiefs to sign up to Dry January, with a month alcohol free.

More than 1,100 residents in the county gave up alcohol in January 2015, joining the two million nationwide. HCC says a month off boosts energy levels, improves sleep and saves money.
