SANTA is taking a break from his holiday to help collect donations for Petersfield Foodbank as it is struggling to cope with demand.

The collection has been organised by Petersfield Round Table and Petersfield Lions and spokesman David Bishop said: “We are also working with the Ukrainian Food and Parcel collection team on this special food bank collection.

“It will have a Hawaiian twist as Santa is usually holidaying there now, so listen for our Hawaiian party tunes and pop out and give his Elves food items.”

This Saturday, from midday to 12.45pm, Santa in his sleigh (pictured right in Petersfield last Christmas) will visit Ramshill estate, followed by Sheet (1pm to 1.30pm), Tilmore, Kimbers, Oaklands, Woodbury Avenue (1.45pm to 3pm), Rushes Road, Gloucester Close, and Princes Road (3.15pm to 4.30pm).

On Sunday, from midday to 1pm he will visit Moggs Mead, Marden Way, followed by Pullens Lane, Pullens Crescent, Barnfield Road (1.15pm to 2pm), Durford Road, Rival Moor Road (2.15pm to 3pm), Weald Way, Leachman Way, Orwell Road, Cranford Road, Grange Road, and Reed Way (3.15pm to 4.20pm).
