A HEART-felt floral tribute to Petersfield busker Colin Fogerty was laid in Rams Walk where he was a familiar sight for many years.

The guitar made of flowers was at the entrance to the shopping centre, and carried a moving note from Colin’s ‘Petersfield fans’.

A card on the tribute, placed there just before Christmas, read: “Dearest Colin, greatest friend ever. Such a joy. Thank you. The best guitarist this side of Lennon. Keep on singing. From your Petersfield fans Hil, Dove and Aex.

Colin, who died on November 23 aged 49, after a long fight against “his demons”, lived in the Petersfield area most of his life, and in the town since 2012.

He was described by his family and friends as “funny, talented, hilariously disruptive, fearless and fundamentally golden-hearted”.

Many tributes have been made on the Facebook page Remembering Colin Fogerty.
