ONE PART of Petersfield was hit by flash flooding following heavy downpours of rain on Friday afternoon.

One particular prolonged deluge took place just as the evening rush hour was getting under way.

Post reader Beth Svarovska sent in this picture showing the flooding near her house at the junction of Heath Road and Herne Road.

She said:?“It drained away quickly afterwards, showing that the drains were working well, but it is the worst we have seen that area flood in eight years of living here.”
