A PETERSFIELD youth centre laid on a week of activities to help youngsters prepare for secondary education in September.
A spokesman for the King’s Arms Project said: “The move from primary to secondary school can be a stressful one.
“Youngsters move from being a ’big fish in a small pond’ to a generally much larger school where they are the youngest and smallest.
“But it also offers wonderful opportunities to make new friends, try new sports, activities and studies and gain new independence.
“Level Up week was designed to help equip 11-year-olds to make the most of these new opportunities at their new schools.
Hannah Pack (11) said: “It was one of the best weeks ever. I was never bored, not even for a second.”
A new weekly club for Year 7 and 8 students starts in September. For details visit the website at: www.thekingsarms.org.uk
