IT wouldn’t be a Sunday without Songs of Praise.

And that was also the case during the recent Petersfield Summer Festival when the spotlight fell on some of the town’s worshippers.

Members of the Petersfield Area Churches Together (PACT) group were invited to conduct a service from the Festival stage in The Square and were blessed with glorious sunshine.

The band led worship songs and Mike Gibson of Life Church Petersfield gave a talk with a “Life doesn’t come with a reverse gear” theme.

John Callaghan, chair of PACT, also spoke to revellers about his former work with life inmates at Kingston Prison in Portsmouth during a performance that will live long in the memory.
