DESPITE Covid disruption, it was an ‘extraordinary but successful season’ for Denmead Horse Shows, says organiser Felicity Hull.

She said: “Covid meant turning the season upside down, running the autumn one-day event in June and the main show in September.

“But all four shows proved very successful, and some of the practices we introduced this year we will certainly take forward as they led to smooth and enjoyable shows.

“Our main show on September 12 saw a mix of in hand and ridden showing, working hunter and show jumping classes with 11 championships culminating in the Denners Tack Shop Supreme Championship won by the Mountain and Moorland champion William Chatley on Boyne Girl.

“But hopefully next year should see a return to June for our main show plus the fun August horse and dog show and the autumn show including the South Downs Showing Series Gala and TSR finals.”
