A CANINE charity based in Ramsdean has reminded visitors to the world’s biggest dog show that the animals really are man’s best friend.
Hounds for Heroes labradors Endal Junior (EJ) and Rookie were among the top dogs when charity founder Allen Parton and head trainer Lexie Webb set up a stall in Crufts, attending the show for the 24th time.
Mr Parton said: “Crufts gives us an opportunity to meet the dog world and some of the strongest support we get comes from dog clubs. It’s about having the opportunity to talk to visitors about all the work we do. They might go away and know someone in their community who is a wounded veteran who could do with our help – and that’s the most important thing.”
