The British Army is conducting an exercise on the training area in Bordon, over the next two weeks.
The purpose of the exercise is for 33 Field Hospital to trial and develop a new capability for UK Defence.
33 Field Hospital is one of three Regular Field Hospitals. They are currently the Vanguard Field Hospital so able to deploy worldwide at short notice to support UK contingency operations, therefore conducting this exercise is key to their training.
A large section of the training area, accessed via Oakhanger Road will be used for the exercise activity. To that end residents and drivers will see an increase in military personnel on this area and military vehicle movement on the roads and within the vicinity but every effort will be made to keep disruption to a minimum and not to cause any unnecessary concern to members of the public.
The exercise is taking place until November 19 with the peak activity from now until October 30.
The Ministry of Defence is grateful for the support and patience of the public during this period and requests the area is kept clear for the duration of the exercise.
