A GARDENING group should expect a decent crop of visitors when they hold a Potato Fair in Petersfield next Thursday.
The humble spud will be the star of the show when the Adhurst Allotment Association holds the event in Herne Farm Leisure Centre between 2pm and 5pm.
Following on from the success of last year’s inaugural show in Steep, Chelsea Gold Medal-winning Pennard Plants will bring more than 100 varieties of seed potato, onion sets, soft fruit and seeds to sell.
Chris Smith and Mike Milligan will also be on hand to offer expert advice to experienced gardeners and those deciding to ‘grow your own’ for the first time. All welcome, entry £1.
