Excitement is growing among gardeners as a horticultural swap shop will take place in Petersfield next Saturday, March 14.

The Petersfield Seed Swap will take place in the Winton House Centre from 10am to 12.30pm.

Swap seeds, gain advice from experts, meet figures from local garden and nature organisations and find inspiration for the growing year ahead at the free annual event.

There will also be a seed sowing corner and free workshops, with Ben Pope, Helen McAra and Helier Bowling giving talks about growing vegetables, foraging in spring and sowing spring flowers, respectively.

And if anyone wants to get their hands dirty, a school community hedge planting event will take place from 10am to 1pm at TPS. Bring gloves and a spade!
