SEVERAL residents in Petersfield went the night without power on Sunday.

Six properties in Love Lane were plunged into darkness at 10.15pm after an overhead power line was brought down by a fallen tree.

One resident reported hearing a “loud bang” at the time and power wasn’t fully restored until 10am on Monday.

Engineers from Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) had to cut power to a further ten customers between 9am and 9.40am on Monday to carry out repairs. They apologised to those affected and thanked residents for their patience during the work.
