HE’S SAID to “light up the room like a pyromaniac in a fireworks shop”.
But this won’t come as a surprise to the many fans of comedian James Alderson who runs the Comedy All Stars at Horndean.
He is the regular host for these popular nights, with the next one on April 29, which attract many top comedy stars of stage and screen.
James, who hails from Denmead, gets the chance to perform to an audience close to home too, and always goes down a storm.
He has recently supported Jo Brand and Eddie Izzard on tour, and comedian Dane Baptiste said he was “one of the most original and fun MCs” he’d worked with.
James has also been voted Best Comedy Act 2015 and Best Comedian 2014 in the Portsmouth News annual entertainments awards.
On the bill on Friday, April 29, at Horndean Technology College, are Mike Gunn, Alex Smith, and what James describes as “a brilliant TV headliner, currently being kept under wraps”.
Mike has appeared on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow and Channel 5’s Live at Jongleurs, and Alex has supported for Russell Kane.
The doors open at 7pm for an 8.15pm start.
