IT’S beginning to look a lot like Christmas at West Meon CE Primary School...
Decorations have gone up, the postbox is out and they are preparing for their Christmas activities, which included a trip to the Theatre Royal in Winchester to see Aladdin.
And the pupils Nativity play, Christmas Presence, in the village church was enjoyed by their families.
And following their Christmas lunch, Father Christmas interrupted his busy schedule to visit the children.
Even the French Club are getting into the Christmas spirit!
A school spokesman said: “We were very excited to welcome our new Early Years team to the school at the beginning of this term.
“It is led by Katriona Pritchard, who comes to West Meon School with a wealth of Early Years experience having worked in a local pre-school, who is supported by Jenna Farminer and Hazel Hillier.
“We do still have a few places available for Year R in September 2022.
“The children continue to enjoy their outdoor learning, regularly visiting our ‘Nature Station’ – a nature reserve located on the Meon Valley Trail, a short walk from the school.
“Our wonderful parents have set up a gardening club and will be planting vegetables and flowers in the school’s raised beds with the children.
“As a small village school, we pride ourselves on the opportunities offered to our children including residential visits, day trips, sporting activities and after-school clubs, as well as our academic results and pastoral care.
“We offer out-of-hours care from 7.30 each morning until 6pm.
“We have recently received a donation of hi-viz jackets for the whole school so we can safely go about our activities while out of the school grounds.
“We welcome visits to our school. Please contact the school office on 01730 829213 to arrange a visit. Alternatively, for more information visit our website at www.westmeon.hants.sch.uk where you can also take a virtual tour.”
