DANCERS from across East Hampshire descended on Blackpool as the Art-V-Motion Dance Academy team took part in the ISTD National Ballroom and Latin Championships.
Led by principals Vitor Fernandes and Carly Phillpott, the team aged from six to 70 took home nine winners’ blue sashes, earned ten runners-up spots and provided a total of 45 finalists.
The academy also won the fancy dress parade, with every member of the team forming part of their entry called ‘Blackpool Rollercoaster’, and enjoyed a masterclass by professional dancers.
Art-V-Motion is based at the Alton Assembly Rooms but has members from Petersfield and the surrounding area, including East Hampshire District Council’s deputy leader Cllr Julie Butler.
