BUILDER Kevin Kiddle is keeping up a family tradition with restoration work on a Petersfield church.
His grandfather Jimmy was involved in repair work at St Peter’s after the fire there in the 1960s. Now Kevin is rebuilding a boundary wall in St Peter’s Road.
This has all been with E Canterbury Builders of Penns Road, which was founded 102 years ago, and which has provided work for three generations of Kevin’s family. He is now the managing director.
He is repairing the three metre section of the churchyard boundary wall which a large tree had pushed out towards the road.
With the tree felled, the stump was ground up last week and the work should be completed in a week or so.
