Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery in Bordon.
Officers were called to the Jet Service Station in Woolmer Way, at around 9.20pm on Wednesday, August 17, to reports of an attempted knifepoint robbery.
A man with his face covered entered the garage, walked up to the tills holding a knife, which was in a plastic carrier bag throughout the incident and demanded money from the till.
Two members of staff pressed the panic button and the man fled the garage empty handed.
He is described as being white, aged in his 20’s and approximately 5ft 7ins tall. He spoke with a local accent.
He is wearing a black hooded top with the hood up, a grey scarf covering his face, a pair of dark coloured gloves, black trousers and lighter trainers.
Detective Constable Mark Ogburn said: “We would like to speak to anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area before or after the incident as this information could assist our investigation.
“This is a rare occurrence in the area and fortunately no one was injured during the incident.”
