A STARK seasonal warning has gone out to dog-owners after a vicious attack on six lambs at Buriton.
Three of the lambs were killed and one of the ewes was so badly bitten after trying to protect her offspring she had to be put down.
The rest of the flock was traumatised in the incident overnight on April 1 at a field just outside the village, with concerns over pregnant ewes losing unborn lambs.
Lamb owner Hilary Myers said:?"It was terrible, heart-breaking to see." The three surviving lambs were recovering from bites but were very scared....
