A SPECIAL performance of a Christmas classic sees families with children on the autistic spectrum, with sensory and communication disorders or who would benefit from a more relaxed theatre atmosphere welcomed to the Chichester’s Festival Theatre.

At Chichester Festival Youth Theatre’s A Christmas Carol on Tuesday, December 29, at 2pm, the performance will be adapted to create a less formal and more welcoming environment.

Audience members will be able to leave and return to the auditorium and there will be a relaxed attitude to noise.

This is the second ‘relaxed’ performance at the Festival Theatre following the success of 2014’s The Hundred and One Dalmatians.

Said front of house manager Michelle Clatworthy: “It’s wonderful to be able to offer groups and families the opportunity to enjoy a theatre show in a more relaxed environment who might otherwise find it hard to attend live theatre.”

Tickets are £10. To book contact the box office on 01243 781312 or visit www.cft.org.uk
