LIPHOOK Carers Group held an information drop-in coffee morning at the Peak Centre.
On hand to give advice at last Friday’s event were The Princess Royal Trust for Carers, Alzheimer’s Society, Macmillan Cancer Support, The Rosemary Foundation, Citizens Advice and a legal advisor on matters such as Power of Attorney.

They might feel responsible for the welfare of someone who relies on them, as without help they would find it hard to manage.
If any of these options apply, that person is a carer.
Liphook Carers Group aims to signpost carers to support services which can help them as well as providing a listening ear and shared advice from others in a similar situation.
Speaking about Friday’s coffee morning, a Liphook Carers Group spokesman said: “We are very grateful to the organisations who came along to share their expertise with the carers in our village.
“Hopefully, we have helped to show carers that they are not alone.”
Anyone who is a carer and feels they would benefit from the support offered by the group, should go along on the first Wednesday of each month to the regular Liphook Carers Group meetings, which are held between 10am and noon at the Millennium Centre in Liphook.
