Liphook flowerbed marks significant anniversary

THE FLOWERBED outside the sorting office has been planted out by Liphook in Bloom volunteers to mark the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Royal Air Force (RAF).

The roundels were formed from red geranium, white alysum and blue candytuft. Marigolds were planted in the formation of 100. Three model planes and a helicopter have also been mounted on sticks and inserted to give the impression of them flying. The models were donated by Mrs Keemar.
