LIPHOOK in Bloom members will be planting spring bulbs on Saturday and Sunday.

This year Liphook in Bloom has been provided with 2,000 Ruby Giant crocus bulbs by Haslemere Rotary Club.

For more than 30 years the Rotary Club and its members have been committed to fighting to eradicate polio across the world.

Their latest campaign Purple4Polio encourages organisations, such as Liphook in Bloom, to plant purple crocus. The idea is to help the Rotary Club raise public awareness of the need to eliminate polio worldwide.

Members of Haslemere Rotary will be joining forces with Liphook in Bloom on Sunday to plant the bulbs in the Millennium bed, near Sainsbury’s, and Shipley Court in Midhurst Road.

They will also be planting purple and white tulips and purple pansies to add to the spring display.

The groups will be meeting in the Midhurst Road car park at 9.30am.
