East Hampshire road closures: almost a dozen for motorists to avoid over the next fortnightThe firm used to own a 40-acre farm in Liphook, growing fruit and vegetables where Bohunt School now stands. The business moved to the current site in Mill Lane, in 1978. Luffs is now well known for its nursery where bedding and pot plants for the garden centre trade are grown. It also supplies Liphook in Bloom for its displays. The nursery is about six acres of modern glasshouses where more than 100,000 bedding trays are produced using computer controlled transplanters. It was fascinating for members of the team to watch this machinery in action. After their tour around the site on Sunday and very welcome refreshments, the members were able to visit the shop.
