PETERSFIELD Lipreaders have found a new home after moving from their former base.
The group used to meet in the Community Centre off Love Lane, but as part of a relaunch and desire to get nearer to the centre of town, they are now based in Burgesmede House.
Group spokesman Arthur Kerrison said: “The new location provides a venue for lipreading instruction and education, and the group aims to provide help and advice for those who are in difficulty with any aspect of hearing and will augment any service provided by the NHS or your doctor.”
The group is open to all age groups, and offers an opportunity to join others who have the similar hearing affliction and to enjoy the services of a qualified lip reading instructor.
After some instruction students should be confident enough to join in with group and individual conversations and discussions.
Improving lip reading skills will also assist in viewing television, added Mr Kerrison.
Meetings are in Burgesmede House, Folly Lane, every Wednesday between 2pm and 4pm during the school term dates. New members welcome. For more information contact Arthur Kerrison on 01730 261983 or Brian Knight on 01730 263986.
