THE LISS Christmas fair and late night shopping event was a big success, say organisers.
This year’s event took place from 6pm until 8pm last Wednesday (December 9). The event had some of the usual favourites, including the best-dressed window competition.
Liss Band provided music to help add to the seasonal atmosphere, and the Triangle got involved once again, hosting a craft fair and a children’s funfair.
“We had a really good response and everyone enjoyed the fair,” said Kevin Johnson, who owns On All Floors and helped to organise the fair.
“The best-dressed window competition was won by Liss Barber Shop.
“U-Do DIY were second, and we had about ten entries for the competition.
“The fair was packed out and Santa Claus did a fantastic job with the kids.
“I must thank Santa and his little elf as the kids absolutely loved them.”
A Dalek once again paid a visit to the fair and spent time in On All Floors.
Kevin also thanked a number of people who helped to make this year’s Liss Christmas fair and late night shopping event a success.
He said: “I would like to thank Liss Parish Council clerk Dick Bowery for all his help organising the road closures and the Christmas trees.
“I’d also like to thank DIY Dave for doing all the wiring for the lights, and Lisa from Jade News for all of her help in the background.”
