THERE’S certainly no shortage of artistic talent in Liss and the surrounding area.

And it was showcased at the village’s annual art exhibition at the Triangle Centre.

Visitors to the five-day exhibition were treated to a range of items and styles.

There was a big craft section too, with everything from candles to jewellery.

Triangle Centre manager Sally Tanner said: “We had many local artists from Liss and Petersfield showing, as well as artists from Portsmouth, Haslemere and other areas.

“The exhibition has been going for more than ten years and we had some new artists exhibiting this year.

“Most of the items on display were for sale, although some items weren’t.

“The exhibition gives local people a chance to showcase their work.”

This year’s exhibition ran from Wednesday, October 26, to Sunday, October 30, and it was preceded by a preview evening on Tuesday, October 25.

Sally said: “We had about 85 people at the preview evening and we had a good mix of artists in the exhibition and friends of the Triangle there.”

Christine Greaves was one of the many exhibitors at the exhibition.

She said: “I’ve exhibited at the exhibition for a number of years.

“I’ve sold quite a few pieces over the years so I’ve been very lucky.

“There were 258 items this year, and the exhibition has always been very popular with the village.”

Ann Hutchings was also exhibiting some items at the exhibition.

She said: “I have been exhibiting here for more than ten years and I have to say it is very well organised.”
