FOREST Brow Care Home in Liss Forest has won four awards at the 2017 Hampshire Care Awards.

The annual event is organised by Hampshire Care Association and is a way of recognising and celebrating outstanding individuals and care providers of adult social care from across the county.

The evening started with a drinks reception, which was followed by a three-course meal before the award presentations got under way.

The evening then finished with fun in the photo booth and dancing into the night.

The nominating process took place earlier this year and at the end of October each category was judged.

Forest Brow Care Home manager Sally Atterbury won the Manager of the Year award.

Sally said: “This is the happiest job I’ve ever had.

“The care is outstanding here. We have got exceptional staff and these awards are a reflection generally on the whole home and the standard of the home.

“We’re very committed to service and we’ve got very good retention of staff.”

Quality Care Group director Marese Pitman won the Lifetime Achievement in Care award.

She said: “Forest Brow has always won awards.

“Sally won the Lifetime Achievement in Care award last year and then this year she won Manager of the Year so she’s a superstar.

“I think it’s a nice environment for staff to work in as well. If you work in a really nice home you feel like it’s a nice place to be.”

Forest Brow Care Home carer Kuan Siew Quake won the Carer of the Year award.

He said: “I’ve been with this company for two years and I really enjoy my work.”

Forest Brow Care Home senior care assistant Jane Demmon won the Newcomer of the Year award. She said: “I’m the newest one here and it’s a very nice place to work.”
