LISS Horticultural Society held a successful plant sale at the Whistle Stop car park.

Society secretary Sue Jordan said: “The weather was great and we received hundreds of plants, shrubs, cakes and sundries to sell.

“We had people queuing to get in, but they said they didn’t mind as everything was so reasonably priced, and we did even better than last year.

“I would like to thank all who donated, those who helped and the Whistle Stop who kindly allowed us to use their premises and last, but not least, everyone who came along to support us by buying.”
