LISS in Stitches held its annual general meeting in October, and the business part of the meeting was dealt with efficiently by the chairman, Ann Doyle.
Following reports of the group’s activities and finances for the past year, Ann thanked Deirdre Mitchell and Annette Chambers for their hard work and contributions to the successful running of the group, as secretary and treasurer respectively. Annabel Forrest and Mike Wallace were elected to replace them.
The meeting concluded with the dismantling of the recent exhibition held at the Triangle Centre, together with discussion of ongoing pieces of work that members had brought with them.
The next meeting of Liss in Stitches will be held at the Triangle Centre at 7.30pm on Tuesday, November 15. Club member Jane Sims will speak about the influences on her work that led her to exhibit at the Ramster Embroidery and Textiles Exhibition 2015.
New member are welcome to attend.
