PREPARATIONS are well underway for the extremely popular Liss Christmas Fair and late night shopping.

This year’s event will take place from 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday, December 9.

Kevin Johnson, who owns On All Floors and is helping to organise the fair, said: “Everything is prepared and is in place as usual.

“The choir are booked, the band is booked, Santa’s booked, the children’s fun fair is booked, and the Triangle have got their bit.

“Liss Junior School’s choir will be performing from 6pm to 6.10pm, and Liss Band will start their performance at 6.45pm.

“There will be a Dalek in On All Floors, and the Christmas trees are sorted.

“We’ve also got the best-dressed window competition again this year, and a balloon man is booked to come and entertain the children.

“This is always a good event and hopefully we will be lucky with the weather like we have in previous years. It would certainly be nice if it is dry.”

The Triangle will once again get involved and host a craft fair, children’s fun fair and Christmas raffle.

There will be plenty of craft stalls at the Triangle, as well as mulled wine and mince pies.

Most of the stalls have already been taken for the event, although a few are still available.

Anyone who would like to have a stall at the Liss Christmas Fair and late night shopping should contact Kevin at On All Floors on 01730 891123 or Jade News on 01730 892189 by Monday, December 7, at the latest.

Stallholders will need to say who they are and what they plan to sell on their stall.

As well as performing at the Liss Christmas Fair and late night shopping event, Liss Band will be performing at a carol concert at the Temple Inn pub in Liss Forest on Wednesday, December 23.
