REMEMBRANCE Tide is an important time in Liss and is always very well supported, both in attendance at the events and for the Poppy Appeal, which collects over £11,000 each year.
This year will be especially commemorated with the new Standard of the Liss Branch of the Royal British Legion (RBL) being paraded with other Legion standards in the Festival of Remembrance at the Albert Hall in London on Saturday.
The Liss RBL Standard Bearer is Scott Cormie, who has not long retired from the Army as has the Parade Sergeant Major WO1 Andy Tidbury.
The Armistice Day Service will be held at the Liss War Memorial on Saturday, gathering at 10.45am.
