LISS residents have voted in favour of planners using the village neighbourhood plan to help decide planning applications in the village.

The results of the referendum asking: “should South Downs National Park Authority use the Liss Neighbourhood plan to help decide planning applications” saw 1,252 residents vote yes, and 177 vote no.
There were no spoilt ballot papers in the referendum run by East Hampshire District Council on Thursday, November 9, and 30 per cent of the 4,723 residents eligible to vote did so.
