THE CROSSOVER Youth Centre in Liss is appealing for more volunteers.
It has seen an increase in young people attending their sessions, which means more volunteers are needed to help run the sessions effectively.
Crossover, which is based at the old St Mary’s Church Hall on Station Road, is particularly looking for people to help run the cafe for their sessions for children in school years 5 to 7 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3.45pm to 5.45pm.
Running the cafe will involve making snacks and drinks, handling money, and talking to young people.

Volunteers can help with anything from cooking, playing pool, table tennis, having a jam with guitars and drums or playing a game of Uno.
Youth centre manager and youth worker Georgina Leigh said: “Our numbers have gone up this term since the start of the school year and we need more volunteers.
“Things are going really well and all of the sessions have been busy. The young people are coming in regularly and are enjoying it.
“We are looking for volunteers to share their skills with the young people.
“We need more people helping in general and I’m happy for people to contact me and arrange to come and see what we do here.
“Anyone who wants to give their time, even just two hours a month, will be welcome. It’s extremely rewarding and we have a great group of young people and we have fun.
“We would also like to do some outreach work in the village and get out and about in Liss if anyone is interested in helping out with that.”
