LIVERPUDLIANS Joe Topping and Scott Poley will be welcome return guests to Grayshott Folk Club tomorrow (Saturday).
According to club organiser Des O’Byrne, Joe is the best male singer the club has had in the seven years it’s been going.
“He also happens to be a brilliant guitar player, a fabulous song writer and what’s more, he’s a really nice guy. Scott Poley is an exceptional guitarist and pedal steel guitar player who has played as a guest session musician on some of my favourite albums with Cherry Ghost.
“Together they make some wonderful sounds and you might well ask: ‘Why has it taken so long for you to invite them back to Grayshott again?’.”
They will be joined at Grayshott Village Hall by The Shackleton Trio, who play an exciting blend of Americana, folk and self-penned material.
Singer and instrumentalist Georgia teams up with guitar powerhouse Aaren Bennett and mandolin ace Nic Zuppardi. Together they have toured the UK, Belgium and the Netherlands, including a range of festivals.
