A local kid is in a stew over finding a new home and a girlfriend...

Time is running out for Comfrey the teenage billy goat, who was born on August 7 at Butser Ancient Farm near Clanfield.

He is from a good line of rare breed goats and is very friendly and used to lots of people, say staff who are trying to find him a new home.

Gwen Woodruffe said: "We will not be turning him into goat curry; he is too special for that. But he will have to be separated from the rest of his ladies until he does find a home, which will be a bit lonely for him! "Castration would be another way around the situation, but we feel he is too old for this now. It would not be nice for him."So, we would like to see him living out a wonderful life, with a wife, somewhere else.If you can offer this lonely goat a home and a wife, please yodel us on 02392 598838 or e-mail [email protected] – ideally he will be in his new home before the half term activities next week at the Farm."
