A MINOR accident on the A3 near Petersfield has turned this morning’s rush hour into a go-slow.

Two hatchbacks came into collision a few hundred yards south of the Petersfield and Buriton junction on the northbound carriageway around 8.20am this morning (Wednesday, October 12).

The police are in attendance and no injuries have been reported but the resulting queue stretches back several miles to the end of the A3(M).

Roads around Clanfield have also become clogged with long queues developing on Petersfield Lane, Chalton Lane and Green Lane as motorists seek an alternative route.

Motorists have been advised to steer clear of the area, if possible, for the meantime.
