Staff at Petersfield Specsavers are focused on the future after celebrating their birthday with East Hampshire’s MP.
Damian Hinds MP joined staff to mark 14 years of eye health and hearing care in the town centre.
And they’ve certainly seen a fair amount of change as just four people were employed when the store, which is locally owned and run, opened off The Square in 2012.
That figure is now over 20 while the shop has expanded to offer hearing care services, ranging from checks and device fittings to battery replacement and maintenance.
The store now offers an extended hearing care service six days a week with audiology director Kassandra Stowe hailing its “great team”.
She said: “We know from feedback that customers appreciate the skills and experience we have to offer.
“We can’t wait to see what the next 14 years will bring.”
Eye health services available at Specsavers Petersfield include eye tests for adults and children, 3D scans – or Ocular Coherence Tomography (OCT) scans, contact lens services and dry eye clinics.
Both Shilpan Shah, Ophthalmic Director, and Jo Cox, Retail Director, have been at the store since it opened in 2012, and have continued to invest in the team, the business and the Petersfield community.
Jo said: “Being able to provide hearing care and eye care under one roof was a major turning point for us, as we were able to offer total care to our customers – providing expertise and value across the board.
‘Since then, new technologies have come and gone to be replaced by even newer ones, but our customers have remained loyal.
“We’re really grateful for that loyalty, and will keep driving ourselves to deliver an even better service.”
