There were plenty of Platinum Jubilee celebrations across Whitehill & Bordon throughout the four-day weekend.

Town crier Stuart Morrison started it off on the afternoon of June 2 by reading the Royal Proclamation for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee at the Forest Centre.

The town crier then went to Whitehill Village Hall on the evening of June 2 to announce the lighting of the Platinum Jubilee beacon by town mayor Cllr Leeroy Scott, which was attended by 100 residents.

On June 3 the free Jubilee music festival took place at Mill Chase Recreation Ground in Bordon, with 1,500 people attending during the day and evening.

Former town mayor Cllr Bisi Kennard sang the national anthem with children from Woodlea Primary School.

And on June 5 the mayor attended The Big Lunch at The Shed with Whitehill Town Council leader Cllr Andy Tree.
