BUTSERFEST is shaping up to be another storming event, and Petersfield band Loyd (pictured) will be in on the act.

Frontman Cameron Walker, guitarist Tom Pocock and drummer Tim Stokkereit, who are influenced in their songwriting and performing by the likes of Rush,?Muse, Nirvana and ACDC, met while studying at Alton College.

And they have now been joined by bassist Alfie Stickler.

Double bass drummer Tim started on the sticks at a young age and provided the beat for many a school production at Buriton School.

Together they jump and headbang to catchy riffs, and the lads’ energy and charm is infectious.

Butserfest revellers can catch Loyd on the Introducing stage, which features ten bands from Hampshire and the surrounding area, picked following an online poll of fans.

There will be three stages of music at the one-day festival at the Queen Elizabeth Country Park on September 10, with 36 bands including headliners Mallory Knox.

Other acts to look out for are Young Guns, Moose Blood, As It Is, Creeper, Chunk! No Captain Chunk, Blood Youth, Fort Hope, The One Hundred, Roam, Casey, The Gospel Youth, Faultlines, Area 11, Our Hollow Our Home, Griever and Seething Akira.
