South of Butser residents could become trailblazers by sharing their memories of village life for a developing scheme.
Workshops are being held this week as part of the bid to shape the Horndean Green Trail and Heritage Network.
Organisers want participants to share their memories and knowledge of the village, with the feedback being used to identify and create points of interest on a walking and cycling network that will bring Horndean’s heritage to life.
The trail, which aims to make walking and cycling around the parish easier, safer and enjoyable, will be delivered in phases with the first running through Catherington Lith and featuring imaginative sculptures.
The workshops have been organised by Horndean Parish Council and EHDC with the first taking place from 2pm to 4pm tomorrow (Wednesday, May 14) at Jubilee Hall and from 1pm to 3pm the following day.
Participants are encouraged to bring memories, ideas and photographs to the workshops, with feedback being used by place-making experts Urban Place to design an engaging online map with wayfinding features.
The project is being funded by a Hampshire County Council grant secured by EHDC. If you would like to take part in the workshops email either [email protected] or [email protected]
