THE ANNUAL Save the Children Clothes Sale in Petersfield Festival Hall will be in early March this year.
Now known as The Big Sale, the money raised helps poor, sick and displaced children in the UK and around the world, and this year the charity is supporting children in Syria and the Philippines in particular.
But due to the rising cost of hiring the hall from Petersfield Town Council, £3,000 for the three-day sale, visitors on the first day will have to pay to get in, although free entry vouchers can be downloaded from the charity's website.
Petersfield Save the Children branch chairman Pauline Kneen said: "In order to raise as much as possible, it will be £2 entry on the first day when the choicest items are on display, but we hope that the free entry voucher may attract more people."
