Every year Petersfield mayors organise charity fundraising events, and it was from money raised during the past year that the current mayor, Cllr James Deane, made the donation to the Salvation Army Christmas Present Appeal.
During the Christmas period, The Salvation Army helped more than 100 children with toy parcels, and Captain Linda Read wishes to thank everyone who has supported this cause to bring relief, hope and happiness into the lives of those who would have otherwise gone without.
