The mayor of Haslemere is hitting the fundraising trail next weekend in support of the Haslewey Community Centre.

Cllr Jacquie Keen is one of ten ‘Haslewey Hens’ that will walk the 70-mile Serpent Trail in aid of the centre.

The group will walk the trail in ten stages with the challenge beginning at 10am next Saturday (October 10) at Haslemere Town Hall.

“Residents are warmly invited to come along and wave them off as they begin this fantastic community effort in support of Haslewey,” said a spokesperson for HTC.

“Every act of kindness, every pound, and every moment of your time brings us closer to improving our centre for everyone.”
