PLANS to build a 66-bedroom retirement complex on a former industrial site in Petersfield have been submitted.
McCarthy and Stone has lodged an application with the South Downs National Park Authority to redevelop the Paris House site on Frenchmans Road.
The u-shaped building will contain 39 and 27 one and two-bedroom apartments respectively, while a homeowners’ lounge, bistro, communal kitchen, wellness suite, courtyard and garden are also part of the plans.
The majority of the building will be three storeys high but the height will be reduced on the western side.
Town councillors reviewed the application on Tuesday evening. For details and to comment type 03309 after following the search link at www.south downs.gov.uk/planning
