A PETERSFIELD school is asking former pupils, parents and staff to dig out old school items to help create some memorabilia for the school's 40th birthday.

Roads underwater as isolated flooding reported around Herald & Post areaHerne Junior School is celebrating the milestone on February 10 and has asked present and former pupils and staff to bring in video films, photos, documents, sweatshirts and more to create an exhibition of memorabilia to be held later this year.
Pupils are investigating the history of the school and the times it has seen.
Suzanne Tong, a member of teaching staff whose been at the school for more than 20 years, said:?"I have pupils coming through now whose parents I have taught – so I know they must have some old items at home....
