Looking back on 2025: The stories that shaped Haslemere Supporters, volunteers, representatives from town organisations, and Petersfield Mayor cllr James Deane learned more about the schemes from chairman Ric Girdlestone. The Memory Cafe is a monthly get-together for sufferers of dementia and their carers, and in a partnership with Marks and Spencer Winton House redistributes food to charities across town.
Jeff Williams, of the Alzheimer’s Society, gave details of how the Memory Cafe formed part of the wider Dementia Friendly Petersfield scheme.
And Winton House manager Sheridan Rocher gave an entertaining talk entitled ‘What do we do?’, on the centre’s activities which offer companionship, help and support.
