EAST Hampshire dog owners can get their pets micro-chipped for free. All dogs now need to be micro-chipped by April 6, or owners could face a fine of up to £500.
East Hampshire District Council is offering the procedure free of charge at their Alton office on Cross and Pillory Lane on Wednesday, January 20, from 10am-1pm.
The ID number on the chip will help to identify pets throughout its life.
